Wheelie, and try bunnyhopping. I thought I would never learn how when I was a kid. One day it just clicked, after practicing till my arms felt like they were gonna fall off. Endos (not complete of course), backflips....JK!!!!

Proper use of front brake

Learn how to use the front brake properly (usually provides up to 80% of your braking power) to avoid skidding on trails. Its not a trick, but it is a skill that should be mastered by all new mountain bikers. Practicing shifting your weight and modulating your brakes will come in handy for all aspects of riding...including doing tricks.

Good Luck and Have Fun
