I just purchased my first Intense frame and cannot wait for it to get here. It should be at my front door in less than a week!!!

Spec:

Frame - 2007 Intense 5.5 EVP w/ Fox RP23 ~ WORKS FINISH ~
Fork - 2007 Rock Shox Pike 454 Air U-turn (BLACK)
Headset - Chris King (RED)
Spacers - Chris King (RED)
Front Wheel - Chris King 20mm (RED) laced to Mavic XM819
Rear Wheel - Chris King Heavy Duty w/ Fun Bolts (RED) laced to Mavic XM819
Drivetrain - SRAM X.9
Stem/Seatpost - Thomson X4/Elite
Seatpost Collar - Hope QR (RED)
Crankset/Bottom Bracket - Shimano XT
Saddle - WTB Laser V Stealth (Ti Rails)
Handlebar - Race Face Diabolus (FLAMES!!!)
Pedals - Crank Brothers Candy SL
Grips - Rogue Lock On (RED Clamps)
Cassette - SRAM PG-990 (RED)
Chain - Shimano XTR
Tires - Kenda Nevegal 2.1 Tubeless

I hope to have it weighing in at around 28 lbs with my usual 1x9 setup. The exact same setup with my previous Nomad weighed 30lbs. Hopefully the lighter frame along with the RP23 and Works Finish will allow me to get down to my goal:thumbsup: ! The Nomad was a great bike, but I believe the 5.5 will really shine with my riding style.

Pics to follow as soon as the brown santa leaves a present on my doorstep:cool:

Oh, and I really like the color red...;)

Hi, How did the build go? I have just finished putting together a similar setup, however I the Chris King headset proved not to work with the Rock Shox Pikes, the tops of the forks would have hit the down tube if you turn the handlebars right round, i.e. what might happen in a crash! I had to use a cane creek S3+5, this has a bigger bottom cup specifically designed for this problem, I beleive its a common problem on 29ers. And also, what brakes have you put on it?

Welcome to our family.

I have a 5.5 and it's awsome, ride it hard and corner properly as it doesn't like lazy riders.

You'll love it and never look back, Intense for ever!
