I just bought a haro Sonix Lt frame and need new tires. I want to go with nevegals but don't know what size to get. Also I have tubeless rims. Should I go with tubelss or standard? I ride rooty singletrack as I am in NY. The bike will be set up with bout 5 inches of travel.

Better measure to make sure they'll fit, first!

And personally, I wouldn't touch tubeless with a 10 foot pole.

Neither, Nev's are way over rated! If you like Kenda tires try the Excavator, better grip and rolls faster than the Nev's. I also really like the Spesh Clutch tires.

LOL. I guess u think theyre pretty heavy. I may go with Fire XC instead. I am undecided now. The xcs are cheaper and get good reviews. Any opinions?

The 2.35" Nevegals came stock on my '10 GT Sanction 1.0 which is a 34 lb. 6.5" FS AM ride to begin with so I'm obviously not a weight weenie. Tire choice is obviously very personal and also dependent on terrain and trail surface but IMHO the Nevegal was a real tractor tire in the rear. When I went to a 2.35" Maxxis Ignitor out back it made a huge difference in my riding despite replacing the front Nevegal with a big ol' 2.4" Conti Mountain King for grip.

Take it FWIW but I ride fairly similar trails here in Pennsylvania. Good luck! :thumbsup:
