Looks like those of us who want warmer tints will have to wait a bit longer :rolleyes:

Thanks for the info AlisterG, I have got used to the waiting game and have heard rumours that it could be the S2 that will have a wider choice of tints.
The rumour mill seems to be churning quite hard, after Cree's announcement that they have pre-production samples running at 186lm/watt, with CCT around 4500K, though they probably won't be available any time soon. Seems like the XP-G (or its successor) has a lot more potential...

Thank You, thank you, THANK YOU.. Just the other day I was thinking the same thing. The XP-G that I have, while bright is a little blue for my liking. I would much rather have a more neutral white. That said after looking at the output from my neutral white SST-50, which is outstanding. I'm gonna have to check CPF more often.
For now I'm just going to be happy that there's an eventual upgrade path for any XP-E/XP-G LEDs that I use. I wish it was happening sooner though.
