so this week i striped out my crank arms on a ride. and now i need to replace them. i am looking at these and want to know if they will work for mountain biking. Universal Cycles -- Dimension Cyclocross Crankarms currently i run a 1x9 speed with a 36t ring in the middle position and a bbg bashguard in the outer position. would a cyclecross crank be adequate for running over the river and through the woods.

Thats a 5 arm crank - it will fit your chainrings?
For around $30-40 more you could get a modern stype crank with BB. Deore, even SLX.

But then I need to get new bashguard and chain ring, yes five arm is what I have. Will it work for mountain biking
