Hello.

Would some of you be kind enough to give me YOUR measurement of the center of your handle bar to the center of your seat post with your body height.

I want to see who I fit in with my cockpit size of 24.750" and I'm 5'8".

Height isn't likely going to be a good way to compare cockpit length between two bikes. I have a friend that is the same height as I am, but he's shorter legged and longer in the torso than I am. I bought my bike from him because it was the right size frame, but the first two mods I made were raising the seat up and putting on a shorter stem.

A set back post is going to move your weight rearward on the bike, as well as change your relationship to the pedals. A new seat post would likely cost just about as much as a new stem wouldn't it?

I went with a Thomson 90mm 10 deg stem.

You talking about a sort of modified virtual top tube length? Where along the seatpost do you want to take the measurement? Don't think that's going to mean much just looking at height alone...

I just wanted a measurement from the center of the handlebar at the stem to the center of the seat post at the seatpost clamp.

Just to give me an idea where other frame setups are at and what people like to ride at. Just for fun you can say...

I measured my wife's Rocky mountain and she is at 23.500" with the 90mm stem she has.

My Scirocco is at 24.750" with my 47mm stem. I will be going to a 90mm stem next week which should give me another 1.700" for a rough total of 26.500"

The funny thing is I feel confortable on both bikes.
