Anyone interested in riding this weekend in Tahoe?

I rode Ophir Creek and Van Sickle /TRT a few weeks back, Genoa/Sierra Canyon and TRT/Chief last weekend, this weekend I'm thinking of a probe ride up the TRT from Luther Pass, Tahoe Meadows, and Big Chief.

I'm happy to show folks trails they've never ridden, but you just need to be able to ride tech, climb, and get yourself down; ie no newbies.

It's really tough to find riders on the East side of the hill, two riding buddies recently moved away. I'm old, but fast enough :)

Send me a PM if you want a riding buddy.

Come on, no takers?

Its gonna be in the fifties, prime time to ride, hero dirt, no crowds, last alpine riding before the snows arrive.

TRT to Big Chief Saturday or Sunday, meet at the lower trail head around 11a, shuttle to Brockway, take our time riding out the TRT, then blast down Big Chief.

Great opportunity to ride this trail for the first time, all tech is walkable, awesome mix of tech, natural jumps, rock features, log roll, chunder, and flow.

I am unfortunately not close enough and too few miles in the last few months. I will say for anyone considering, Big Chief is a fun ride if you haven't done it and the views are great (look across the valley towards Alpine Meadows and the Palisades fka Squaw Valley). Lower Big Chief should be prime and packed instead of the normal summer moondust.

So far one taker for next spring …. but it’s prime now, so yeah, let’s ride people!

Ski resorts have blower only snow and very limited terrain, meanwhile the mtb trails are open, not crowded and have hero conditions.

Ben, I will meet you in Nevada City at some point. Grab that Coleman kid. I’m in house selling hell for a few weeks (Either working for the man, or working for free for me). Took my bike to Tahoe for 3 days last weekend, and it sat in the living room while I worked 35 hours in 3 days. LAME! So, so, so lame on my part.

Not gonna lie, I stopped reading at "need to be able to climb" which is usually code for "if you're in your bailout gear all day long then GTFO, son." Ha. I'll PM you shortly.
Its not about speed, it’s more about wilingness to climb, around here it’s either climb or walk; I hate walking 😆

I rode out to the bench last night (TRT south from spooner), then today I rode to Mr Toads from Luther Pass. Tomorrow it’s Tahoe Rim to Tahoe Donner, Stanford, or Big Chief.

It’s absolutely beautiful up here, esp for near December. It’s looking good fnext weekend too!

If I’m being honest here, I may be out on the “who aren’t flakey” prerequisite 🥺 Any further details on that requirement? 😝
Flakey is making plans and not following through … repeatedly, or being all in for a ride or two then disappearing forever.

I’ll ride with anyone, I ride all the time, but damned if I can find people to ride with!

Maybe it’s the leprosy 🤫
