What helmets are popluar now adays? Non FF I need a regular goofy bike helmet for my mellow days.

those helmets are beyond amazing.

I love my Giro Hex for regular ride days. I like the way the vents are set. Very airy. A year old or so - i imagine they still have that model?

I would only wear the first one on epic more All Mountain solo days as it seems to offer more All Mountain protection than say, other All Mountain non-FF helmets.

The second one looks too flexy. Perhaps if I rode a Specialized I would consider it....

You can always go full face light (FFL) like my sister Mildred:

Or if you live on the East Coast and are all 29'er and sh!t, or have rich parents, you can go the FFL titanium route like my buddy Miles and get plenty of protection over your pie hole while still looking steezy and without the weight penalty:
