would putting a boxxer fprk on a 2001 specialized fsr comp break the frame?

Maybe. Maybe not.
The fsr is a 'trail bike'...right? If you are putting on a boXXer to do something other than trail ride, you are pushing it.
If your intention is to HUCK/Jump with an fsr- you had better be a smoooooth rider or save up your pennies for a more burlier frame suited for your intention.
It ain't worth it to put a boXxer on the fsr and snap the frame at the headtube from hucking/DJ. Specialized won't warranty it and you'll be SOL without a bike.

ive heard of guys snapping fsr's and getting bighit dh's as replacments. as long as your the origional owner there shouldnt be a problem. i thought the fsr was a dh bike?
