Having issues with my front derailleur, it does not shift down to the easy gear. I am wondering if its because i have sram x-5 shifters. should i switch to x-7 front derailleur?

x-5 or x-7 - no difference, shimano front derailluers works OK with Sram shifters. Check FD
set up.
