Hi,

I can't seem to get the drive side end cap out, i unscrewed the dust cap and end cap on the non-drive side but since both end caps tighten in a Clockwise manner, i can't get the drive side endcap out with the nondrive side endcap loose already.

i don't have anything to grip on to the axle either. anymore ideas?

You'll have to knock the FH body assembly out of the hubshell. The axle is designed to act as a punch to remove the FH body when the NDS dust cover is removed. Be very careful when removing the FH body, spin it in the free-wheeling direction and tap it our slowly to ensure the pawl spring don't get damaged.

One you have the FH/axle assembly removed, you'll have to use an axle vise. No way around it if you want to keep the axle nice and pretty. Clamp the axle, insert the 5mm into the DS endcap and thread it off. The DS endcap is only lubed with oil from the factory. You should be able to remove it no problem. I9 has full service guides on their website...
