"Scatches head"

I may be revealing some level of ignorance, but what is a pedal "insert"?
pedal inserts

The way I understand it the aluminum of the crank is too soft for the pedal axle to screw into, so they use a stainless steel insert in the crank. Ie the pedal screws into the insert, the insert screws into the crank. Almost like a sleeve for the pedal.

Holzfellers or Hussefelts? I only thought the latter had inserts. Either way, I hate to say it but your hosed (kinda). Ive heard of folks loctiting them back in (use the red locitite if you do) but I am not sure about its integrity if you do. Truvativ will tell you its toast but will most likely give you a warranty replacement since they messed up the tolerances on some of those resulting in inserts coming out frequently. How do I know this?? Had it happen to me a few months back. Called TV, told them what happened (Hussefelts in my case) and they sent me some Holzfellers for only $75 along with some Holzfeller pedals (huge bling!) for nuthin! Give em a shout an see how it goes but Im guessing they get you all setup. Good luck.
