Hey y'all help please. I fixed up my wife's old bike for my daughter. All good except I can't figure out how to adjust the reach to the brake levers. I've tried adjusting every bolt and screw that I could find. Then I removed one of the small plastic wedges (1st picture). This helped a mm or two. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The reach adjust screws are the 2 protruding screws in this photo.

Thanks for the response! I tried those screws previously and again just now. They don't make a difference screwed all the way in or backed all the way out. Confusing

Ok. So I had been trying the front brake lever only. The adj screw is not having any effect on the reach on the front lever. Just tried the same thing on the rear and it worked, tho it only pulls in the reach a few mms. This few mms seems to be the full amt of adjustment on these early levers. Thanks!!

You can pull the screw all the way out and take it to a hardware store, match the thread pitch, and get a longer bolt that gives more range.
I've done something similar many times.
