Hi guys, its been a while since Ive been here...

getting the old bike out to start training again for the 2012 season... want to start doing some street training, and was wondering which was the best (widest) slick tire out there? Not really comfortable with the 1.4-1.5 wide slick tires out there.

I'm kinda looking for something beefier...

any help very much appreciated!

I use the WTB tires, not really slicks but close. What is the reason to want a wide slick? it's not going to help performance and it'll just add weight.

Schwalbe Kojak 2.0 ??? Wide enough to have decent aesthestics on a mountain bike, but bot brutally overbuilt/inefficient casings to resist punctures and cuts like slick commuter tires.

I actually use this as my indoor trainer tire. Big contact patch helps to avoid any slip.

Also, I think you can get Tioga City Slickers in 2".
