I have an older GT Tequesta, probably '92 or '93, not sure. I need to replace the bottom bracket and the brakes as well as a few other parts. The main thing is the bottom bracket. Does anyone know what I should get? Here is a pic of the frame that I found online.
. Any help would be appreciated.

the 1996 specs

Bottom Bracket Shimano BB-LP26, 113 mm spindle
BB Shell Width 73mm English

...best to have an LBS remove what you have and replace with the right size.

You can look at 1993 here and figure out what you need from there.

Good luck, Jim

The bottom bracket is not specific to the frame except to match the shell width and threading, the spindle length and type matches your crankset. If JimC has the correct spec for your frame, then the important part is the 73mm and English threading (you can measure the width of the shell easily with a ruler, too and it being a GT is certainly an English threading). Your local bike shop should be able to help you out, but if you want to do it on your own you'll need to invest in the special tool(s) required to remove and install the bottom bracket.
