Need help/advice on Prophet hub upgrade

It is rare that the spokes would be of the right length, plus I wouldn't reccomend re-using the nipples.

In my opinion, if you like the 819's (decent rim btw), just buy the DT hub and a new set of DT spokes sized to fit with that RIM. That way you also have full control over which spokes you would like to use, not just the spokes available in a package.

Unfortunately, the existing spokes will not work(not 100% on this, but like, 98%, I'd have to crunch some numbers to be positive), as the existing hub has different dimensions than your soon to be new one. So you are looking at new spokes too. If the rim is in nice shape, it's worth saving, but it is time consuming to tear it down "gently" so as not to warp it all to hell (what happens if you cut the spokes). Also, the threaded inserts need to be undone, (more time). So, it may behoove you to buy a whole new wheel, and keep the other as a spare, never a bad idea, and the extra money spent, will be forgotten, the first time you need a spare, and have it= My 2 cents.

I just replaced the rear hub with a DTSwiss HUGI FR. I love the racheting sound! I elected to keep the 819 rim and replace the spokes. My wheel builder did mention that gently tearing down the rim is a pain in the arse but I'm a good customer. I'm glad to have that crappy hub in my rear view mirror.

I also run a hügi FR on my 4x, amazing hub with great sound. Engagement is really solid and looks good to boot. Expensive retail price though.

I had the same issues with the rear hub. Junk
But cannodale did warranty the rear hub. They sent me a whole knew one. but I bought a Demax its much stiffer and helped the rear end flex a little plus the yellow looks cool with the blue. The cannodale hub would loosen up evey three weeks.
