Hi all,

My current summer tire favorite is the Tioga Factory XC (1.95). But, I'm always looking for something better. I'm looking for a tire that will handle typical Oregon race season conditions. In races, I'm not anywhere near the front. So, I'm happy to trade some weight for some meat. What I'm looking for:

* ~550 grams
* reasonably good rolling resistance
* excellent cornering
* can handle a mud bog here or there (but not a dedicated mudder)
* doesn't skip out on wet roots and stuff

I've been reading the discussions here a while and am intrigued by the Panaracer Cinder or Trailraker. What you guys think?

Thanks in advance for any replies,
Tim

The list for Tim:
  • Cinder
  • Spider Air Light
  • Blue Groove/Nevegal 2.10 (Stick-E front/DTC rear. Could use Neve f & r)
  • Nokian NBX 2.1/2.3
  • Schwalbe Albert 2.25
Get a set of TrailRakers for the winter.

The 'Slinger was fun. I ran the TrailRakers and they did great. Corner very well though I would not run them in the dry by choice. Great mudders/soft terrain.

Are you going to Bear Trap Springs?

Reehers is the 17th. I will be at Sea Otter.
I like Reehers best in the wet!
