We are adding Ice Sprint tadpole recumbents to our stable. Standard cassette is a Sram PG 950 11-32 9 speed coupled with Truvativ Touro 30/42/52 170 cranks. We might be able to change to
Truvativ Touro 30/42/52 170 with Sram 9 speed powerglide II cassette 11-34
or
Truvativ Firex 26/36/48 with Sram 9 speed powerglide II cassette 11-34. How much more hill climbing will I get? These recumbents are 35 lbs but seem to go up hills like GOATS! What do you all think of these combinations & what would you recommend? Thanks. Still Mt. biking on our Trek 3700 but want to do longer tours & be comfortable so the road bikes have to go. Might put them in the classifieds
