Waiting now exlusively on my wheels to be tensioned/trued...laced them up myself, which felt nice, but I can't tension/true them.

Recent changes: took the riser off in favor of a flat bar...front of bike felt too high to me. I'll probably take some of those Seven Spacers out of there as well, get the stem down resting directly on the HS.

Completed: cabling, brakes on, chain on.

Needs: other wheels, other tires (have), and new rear derailer cable/housing (note how short it is back there, I was trying to avoid having to recable those XTR's, seeing as its a pain ITA, but it doesn't shift right being so tight back there.

Here's where it's at:

clxx, whats up with the photos'? first some new formatt where it doesn't let you upload them in a simple manner, like you have to catagorize and name them all or something, then they don't show in the posts?

now i'm reaaaaaally confused. I clicked on my profile, then on my "Gallary" and there are all the photo's....I'm reposting 2 of them that come up pefectly by themselves....if these don't show then there is no logic in the universe for me....

wow, you did it up right this time...DON"T SELL IT!
I don't think I will. I'll have this, the Rig, and that'll have to do...I've acutally been off the bike long enough to where I'm getting excited about riding again, just crossing the fingers that the back doesn't go TNT on me...

BTW, you got lucky on those tires....I have since visited every supergo in SoCal and only turned up one pair!

Good news, wheels done last night....by the time I got home, put the tires on, cassette, skewers, and re-adjusted the brakes, it was already too dark for good photo's. Did test ride it around the block a few times though. I think i really got the size right. The EffTT is only 24.25, and I'm using a 120x0 stem, but it really does feel nice. Of course I haven't been on a bike for about a zillion years, but I do like it. Considering the XL Rig will have a 25. and change TT (assuming) with a 105 stem, and the difference in stems is 15mm, that makes .60"...so the cockpit on my mooto is 24.25+ 4.7= 28.95, whereas my rig will be 25.2?+4.1 = 29.3 and that's pretty close...

but let me tell you, those wheels look waaaay nicer on the bike than I thought they would...the rims are pretty shiny/silver-ish, which works in well, but those purple hubs had just the right dash of color to the whole thing...i'll photo/post tonight...and be gone from the mtbr board until I get my weight under control and back inshape....I'll take a before shot of myself, but not post that or the "after" shot until my return....

I got the flat moots bar...it's not quite as wide, but the front of the bike felt too high with the riser, plus I think flat bars just look FAST and SLEEK, esp on this bike....

The bike looks much nicer with those new Nano's from Donkey, which by the way, I owe you a big one...I'm a nano man, and them som*****es are gettin' really hard to find...anyway, the full size tires flush out the look of it, and it has a nice "full" look to it now, and the splash of purple just brings it all home to momma...

Being the partwhore that I am, I can tell you that's a pretty nice bar. A bit heavy, but it's bombproof...

I always rode it on my Monkey when in SS mode:
