We rode a somewhat common loop with a bit of a twist just this past week and thought we'd share.

Not the difficulty of the real C2C2C...well, maybe a different type of difficulty.

Basic route was starting at the Ramadas, up National the entire way to the Telegraph intersect. Climb up past the old stone house with an eventual left down to "The Ruins" at the West end of the range. Some neighborhood cruising back to the start (or end?) of DC and then DC back.

24 or so miles with a very steep descent in the middle.

Got a few pics of some Micki cactus carnage in there as well.

awesome write up. I'm very interested in doing that exact loop some day. now if there was a way to take my DH bike on that "ruins" trail...that would be sick! bummer about the cactus, but that was a killer pic!

Nice write up steve. I'll show you the single track that would have cut out most of your road riding. (not all)

I need to go try that trail down to the ruins. It's still on my lists, even if it is over my head.
