Nashbar is having a 15% off drivetrain components until sunday. I'm looking at their 8 speed cassettes which would be only $17 after the discount. I can't find any reviews on this site or searching through the forums on their brand name cassettes. Anybody have positive or negative experiences with their brand cassettes?
Also, the 7/8 speed Nashbar/KMC chain is dirt cheap at $5.48 with discount. I've seen mixed reviews on the KMC chains here, and bought a used bike recently with an older KMC chain that seemed to have quite soft side plates. Any recommendations on this product? Especially vs. the for example SRAM PC58 at $12.75 which I know to be good and reliable except for the powerlink. thanks..
