THere is no reason to believe the cranks are made in the US.apacherider said:Not CODA, not Cannondale. Looks like some kind of chi-chi crankset given the colors. Since it was made in the USA, that should narrow it down some. It's not Suntour, Shimano or any other name brand. Lots of small companies made parts back then. Lots.
Agreed. Doubt those USA stamped rings are stock. Doesn't say anyplace under the crank arms? Doubt the BB is stock either if the rings were replaced.iheartbicycles said:THere is no reason to believe the cranks are made in the US.
Yep 100% agree they are Sugino and someone with a mill got bored.... I have these sitting here at the shop and mine do not have that milled down edge detail they are just smooth across the top.MendonCycleSmith said:XD indicates Sugino. They still make them.
As for the milling on the arms, is it on both arms? Looks like someone with a mill got bored, and decided to have some fun, as the XD's don't have that going on.
Also, the rings are aftermarket, no questions asked.
And here I thought XD indicated a childish obsession with text speak.MendonCycleSmith said:XD indicates Sugino. They still make them.
