Never seen em in Walmart, but that's because I never go there. I boulght my Cyclones at REI, right next to the Nalgenes.Archdukeferdinand said:But nowhere near as durable.
Plus lots of folks by 'em at wal-mart. Nalgenes are typically purchased at places like REI or MEC that set aside parts of their proceeds for land access causes..
.
Well they're made out of the same material, but in varying thickness. Cyclones are MUCH thinner lexan and have that silly shape which robs them of rigidity. One of the guys on my WEMT class was singing the praises of cyclones (and he bought his at wal-mart). An accidental drop from height against a pointy rock later he wasn't quite so pleased. Not that I've done any scientific tests, but cyclones ARE thinner (better if you like lighter) but from what I've seen not as durable (I have seen lexan nalgenes broken, but I've also seen them survive falls that were 4 times the height from which the cyclone was dropped).kitchenware said:Never seen em in Walmart, but that's because I never go there. More durable? They're made out of the exact same materials.Maybe you're thinking of something else.
I still have Nalgene bottles to compare, I didn't get radical and throw em away. lol Haven't lived in Boulder THAT long.

The bottle in the picture is actually made by Migo for what it is worth. I just thought it was a concept some could use and the Nalgene name was stuck in my mind.![]()

Some people (me) just can't resist discussing the political and environmental implications of everything

Kind of sucked just holding the bottle or hanging it off my belt so I got to thinking why not a holder for the bike? Called Ron Andrews at www.KingCage.com to see if he had a...an otherwise boring picture of water bottles.
