Nice. What wheels are those?
The wheels are the grimeca disk, they are magnesium no longer in production.
How does the 5.5 ride with coil/oil suspension?

I love riding coil/oil on my tracer (I don't mind the extra weight) and I was curious how the VPP rode. Did you ever run in with air to assess the differences.

By the way- most important of all, your bike is awesome!
As a matter of fact I have. I like coils, air seems to be less active. With coil springs your able to fell all the travel/air is to quick through its travel, its soft, quickly becomes hard. How ever times are changing air shox are getting better. Its funny after takeing these pics my rear has been sent back to fox for repair, and now I have the swinger 4 way on witch is an air shox.honstley I hate it but its probably me not adjting right.Interms of the VPP ride when you put the pivot below the b/b your dwn force pulls the rear dwn making the most tracktion possible.FAST FAST FAST....

Those are nice wheels. How heavy are they? You mentioned they are no longer in production but do you know a place that might still have them for sale?
Nice! Cool to see someone else running the SRAM X.O gripshifts too. I have the same Vanilla fork too. Love the plushness of a coil fork, despite the weight penalty...

I have a Fox Terralogic F100 on my hardtail and I find it pretty brutal. It's -this- close to a rigid fork IMO...

Yea Tomac was the man. I need to find more of them. They keep the paint on when the chain slaps the swing arm.
Zuke, with the Grimeca wheels it weighs 31 1/2 lbs, with spoke wheels it weighs 29lbs.

respect doesn't come to mind when you mention using the Tomac sticker as a chainslap protector lol...and the operative use of the word 'was' is further disrespectin' The Man.
Respect, I would put him up there with the likes of Tony Dorsett, Eddie Van Halen ,Dale Earnhardt.Nothing but respect my friend....Tomac was the best MNT BKER to watch. The man was relentless when on the Attack. I learned a lot from him interims of timing. He would just hammer on Ned and Tinker then win at the Dwn hill Races.
