Hi All

Ive got a 2004 Scott Genius MC40 in the garage that well bascially due to one reason or another left it there for 4 years. Now i want to get it going again, So now the brakes need bleeding and the rear shock has no compression in it at all. Ive tried pumping it using the provided pump however i guess its more terminal than that. Scott in the UK do a service for 100GBP to fix the shock but i want to keep the cost down and seeing as im a keen car mechanic i might be able to fix it myself. How do I recompressed the rear shock? Will in just need new rings?

Send it to Scott, the equalizer shocks on those things are a pain in the back end to service. I know it's a hundred pounds but it's a hundred quid now or a hundred plus after lots of swearing.
