this is my first post. heres my hunter! i love this bike. it was a long wait but well worth it. the custom geometry is amazing, i have always ridden nice bikes with off the shelf geometry that worked great, but ricks geometry is amazing!i have changed a few things since the pictures were taken but heres a partial build list;
frame-custom steel Hunter
fork - rock shox sid ( i'm pretty light so it works well even in technical stuff)
wheels- hand built by me with chris king classic hubs and stans rims
hs - king
seat - selle italia slr
post - thomson masterpiece
brake levers- pauls ( i like v's, they stop me fine and are way light)
cranks- white industries- mostly run 34X16 but i have an assortment of cogs
bb - phil wood ti/mag
bars- monkey light
grips - cinelli cork
18lbs with race tires and 20.5 with 2.4 F and 2.3 R trail tires
the only mtb i ride.

Hey, I think I've seen that one going real fast at the front of some races in Southern California I love those thin seat and chain stays, it just looks light. That is one cool bike.

WOW! thank you for all the kind words. i love this bike, it was totally worth the extended wait. i have been racing it in the team big bear series and i've had some good luck this year. i originally planned on doing more road races, but i've had so much fun riding the ss it's only recently that i've gone back to building base on the road bike(so that i have more endurance to enjoy the hunter.) people at mtb races are awesome...both geared and ss. one of the coolest things is when your truly suffering on a climb and the geared guys give you the clean line and cheer as you pass or they come from behind on a flat and offer you a draft.

i've thought about it it actually. maybe a hunter or even the new dt swiss carbon rigid if they ever get it into production. it's really rocky where i live though so i wouldswap back and forth occasionally.
