Well folks, I just posted a response to the "Let's see some Christmas gifts" thread over in Passion, so I thought I'd show off here a little as well.

I awoke on Christmas to find an '06 Fisher 293 under the Christmas tree. WOW! My fiance must have snuck out right after I put her '06 Lemond Croix de Fer under the tree!

I just left a longtime Corporate job a few months ago and have been working at my LBS. It's been great, but of course it doesn't pay much so I've been drooling over bikes I couldn't necessarily afford. I had to cancel my order with On One for the 29er Inbred, and thought it would be a WHILE before I got a geared brother for my Fisher RIG.

I've had it out for a quick shake down ride, and it seems wonderful so far. Very comfortable, stable, and agile. I really like the handling. I'm going out for some more fun this afternoon and will post some ride shots later.

It matches my '06 RIG quite nicely, doesn't it?

I like the black Fishers. I have the same collection, but different colors. Purple RIG and red/silver 293.

Sometimes things just work out. You had given up on building a basic Inbred for financial reasons and instead got a sweeter Fisher 293 under the tree!

No such luck for me. If I gave up on my Inbred, I would probably ended up with a Goodwil Store bike instead
