I;ve never corresponded with Kona Joe - nor do I ever think I will have a complaint with Kona Bikes.
I got stuck with my first Kona in 1996 (a Cinder Cone) and I still ride it to this day...also got myself an '05 D deluxe without considering other brands because I love the way Kona seems to try to stick with what works rather than what seems trendy.
The only thing I have changed on the DD is the pedals. The only problem I have is an occasional chain jumping off and the wee little cog on the ash end skips. Probably cause I can't seem to keep the thing adjusted.
Any advice on this?
As for the Cinder Cone - I changed the bars stem and grips last month. It's running the stock pedals from the Dawg.
When your Dawg walks, it's a bad bad boy..if it isn;t able to do this stuff - it;s not the bike - it's the rider!
And I am not all that good. Honestly, I'm a beginner intermediate at best.
