just got a 05 888rc 200mm
i was so pissed off at first when it came cause i measured out 200mm and it came out between the 2 crowns. then i pulled on the stanchions and it popped open so i was happy. it feels realy nice (especcially compared to the drop off triple). When the bike just sits there the stanchions are still compressed a little and when i pull on them they come up a bit. is this just because it isnt broken in yet? ( i only rode it around my driveway)

What you're describing sounds like negative travel. If you're feeling stiction, then that's a break-in issue.
that happens to mine and mine is a year old is that normal? or is it cuase by low oil height? mine has no stiction though just what ur describing as negative travel
