The kid has skills, that's for sure.

Personally, I don't know why people put vids and pics of their kids on the net. I have 2 little ones and I will never post their pics anywhere on the net. Maybe because I have girls I'm a little more sensitive to these things, but it's a weird world out there and the kids can not consent (and likely have no clue) about having their image up for the world to see.

Great stuff. /bing

p.s. Children can be placed in danger if they have unchecked access to the internet. Putting a video up of a kid riding his bicycle in a special interest group forum poses no inherent danger IMHO. Its probably less dangerous than having him bike on the street, where he is physically present.

I will guarantee that there is a POS sex offender on this forum as we speak....guaranteed.
The sick, SOB's are in more places than you might think.

I'll hold off posting my girls race footage for awhile.

Youre probably right. There is probably one within a block from anyone one of us too. Nothing wrong with being careful. I know where you are coming from.

You are probably right. This is why I carry a big gun and my daughter is learning TKD and self defense. She also knows how to use the gun at 7yo.

Awsome vid. Get used to him being in front. lol

To others FWIW you get video taped all the time whether you realize it or not. Go to a birthday party, airport, store, hotel, swimming pool, sooner or later something will show up on the internet. But I do agree.

I was just enjoying the view of the terrain you get to enjoy. My son isn't strong enough to ride like that yet. Hopefully one day. He just doesn't get a chance to ride, with us working so much and the weather being blistering hot this summer. Glad to see your little guy is having fun.

What about at school or anywhere else for that matter. The OP is obviously very proud of his kid. A video here is probably safer than your kid going to public school. I would be more worried about kids messing around on the social networking sites. My kids are still a little young for the PC but its something to think about.

I can see people's points with regard to security, kids and the internet, but I've found the videos that people have posted up on forums like this to be great motivation for my kids. My older girl (turns three this weekend) has had a balance bike for a while, but has always been a bit tentative about using it. Last week I showed her some videos people had posted of their kids on balance bikes ripping it up, and she loved them (she made me play the one with the kid who falls off then gets up smiling about twenty times!).

Since then I haven't been able to get her off the thing. I even have to strap it on the back of the trailer if we go shopping or whatever in case she decides she wants to ride part of the way. In a matter of days she's gone from being reluctant to ride it to actively seeking out roots to try and hop over (at least, she thinks she's bunny hopping ;) ) and hills to ride up so she can blast down the other side.

So I appreciate people's concerns, but I'd also like to thank those who have posted videos/photos of their kids having fun on bikes.
