Well I made the leap and just before the New Year I got my Dos Niner built up after a few months of collecting parts and convincing my wife that I only turn 30 once :)

Here's the build
06' Dos Niner Frame from Bike29.com
Reba SL
DT Swiss TK 7.1d laced to hope XC/ProII hubs
Maxxis Ignigtor front/Crossmark rear
XT cranks
XT Shifter pods
Shimano Shadow RD
Shimano XT FD
Hope Mono Mini's
Chris King headset
Salsa seat post (weighs the same and easier to adjust than Thomson-$40 cheaper too)
Thomson stem
FSA carbon riser bar

Weigh's in at 25lbs and change.

Really looking to getting out there and putting lots of miles on her in 08'

Happy New Year
CL

P.S. Sorry for the garage shot.

Nice looking DosNiner

Here's a shot of mine that I just finished before xmas. It's a 07 XL Dos with sram and a new F29 Fox fork. WTB Laserdisc wheel set with Kenda Small block 8 on the rear and a Exiwolf on the front. I really like these tires they hook up. I was doing some bigger drops on National this past Friday and the 29er front wheel just rolls out better than a 26er. I made some huge drops with it that I would have passed on my 26er Ti Litespeed with a 02 Bomber on it. That fork sucked. this Fox is the natsass.

Congrats man!!!

What are you going to do about a chainstay protector? I used handlebar tape.

Nice looking Dos, I went w/a Lizard Skin chainstay protector. I really am happy w/the bike the more miles I get on it the more I convinced this was a good move.
