Must rides in VT, NH, ME???

I am on vacation for the next few weeks and the girlfriend and I are headed up to visit some family in Boston and then wander around New England. We have never been riding in this area, so we would love to hit up some solid spots. We ride XC and my girlfriend is somewhat of an intermediate rider. She likes the smooth, fast stuff, but can handle technical trails.

We are planning to go to the Kingdom Trails in Vermont for a few days. Any other must-ride spots? I would like to hit a few shorter rides (8-15 miles, maybe link up two in the same day) and perhaps a few longer ones as well. Proximity to cool towns with good, laidback nightlife/music scene a plus, particularly if the trail runs right out of the town. Thanks in advance for the beta.

Oh, good places to stay in East Burke? Hotel is great, camping is good.

Some spots you should hit in NH are Bear Brook, Pawtuckaway and possibly Fort Rock. Reviews and directions are on this site under the reviews sections.

If you think you can handle it, Lynn Woods in Mass is the best riding in New England, but quite technical.

What makes Lynn Woods the best riding in New England? I have heard of Lynn, but never heard the riding was the best in New England. Please tell me more.
Let me clarify, Lynn Woods is the best technical cross country riding in New England. One difficult move after the other with high stakes risk. Lots of ridges and drop offs.

I say the best cross country single track riding is easily Kingdom Trails. You will love that place, as will your girlfriend.
bolton valley resort (Vermont). in the summer they have biking. lifts and all. its more downhill i think.
