MTBR classifieds change

Stupid mtbr classifieds...

and the stupid change to block email addresses of sellers showing up in their ads (which then cuts down on the number of responses the seller, who's paying the money for the ad, gets, as well as loses half the responses people try and make) in order to keep sellers from getting emails from scam artists...well... so much for that great plan.

Yeah, withholding your e-mail address should be a choice for the seller. The new way is really, really annoying.
WTF Why is Mr. Matthews buying your bike?

What was wrong w/ mine? :D
Due to the overwhelming feedback that we've received, we have gone back to the old system, and the seller's email address is once again directly visibile within the ads.

We changed the system in an effort to thwart the scammers, but it didn't take long for them to work around the new system. As such, we realized that the system was causing more confusion and headache, and not enough protection, so we switched back.

Thanks for all the feedback, positive, negative, or somewhere in between.

We're still looking for other ways to cut down on these scams.

Can't be easy dealing with all this scam artist BS. Once you know how to recognize and ignore scammers, the Classifieds work pretty well. I've gotten very good results.
