I notice a LOT of riders on here from Folsom.

Folsom High School has a great MTB team and coaches, but for some reason, this upcoming season has less interest from kids.

If you have a kid who rides (or wants to learn to ride), please take a peek at what High School Mountain Biking has to offer.

I'm sympathetic but my oldest kid is about 7 years out from 9th grade

Too bad interest is down there. Could be temporary, sometimes you need just one strong Freshman class and you’re back up.

I coach and manage a team in nearby Roseville and our roster grew 12 riders to 39 this year. 3 of those were riders who took last (COVID) year off.

One factor may be the lack of available bikes given the current supply backlog. I am sure many of them are at the age that they are outgrown bikes they have ridden over the last two years. Hope things pick up for them.
