I ride at Mt Tom State Reservation regularly but don't ever see anyone else on the trails. I've develped a solid two hour loop from the gate with lots of climbs, long descents, technical terrain, and great view from the top of Mt Tom after you suffer thru a grueling climb up the face of the deserted ski run. Anyone else ride out there?

I rode Mt Tom once. I wanted to to ride the top of the ridge to the Northern Most point above the Oxbow. I ran out of day light and only explored a little bit around the top. I haven't gone back because I wasn't sure about access. I have ridden the ridgeline above Ashley Reservoir which was excellent. Do you park at the old ski area?

Mt Tom loop

Start at the gate outside of the park, ride down the access road, take a right at the parking lot in front of the maint building. Trail starts there.

Best to be discreet getting on the trail.

Trail sequence Quarry to Keystone Ext to Keystone to Beau Bridge to Teabag to Link to Bee Line to Bray and then UP the abondoned Mt Tom ski runs and down the D.O.C back to the maint building. Solid two hour loop. Park maps with trail names can be found online.
