Forest Campgrounds and Windy Ridge Open for July 4th Holiday. Many campgrounds, roads, and lower-elevation trails on the Forest will be open for the July 4th weekend this year. Forest Road 99 leading to Windy Ridge, on the east side of the Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument, will also be open for the July 4th weekend. (June 22, 2006)
