Mt. Lemmon

Not any time soon.

The Ski Valley is a private lease and the owner of said lease wants nothing to do with MTB's. TucsonMTB has an advocay forum where such things are discussed and SDMB and the Pima County Bicycle Action Committee are actively working such issues as DH trails. A lack of money, a butt load of wilderness and sensitive habitat, some liability concerns, and unfortunately some MTB phobia all come into play.

I do understand that it would take money to start up, but would it not help bring in revenue for the mountain and help with tucson in the summer time?

Summerhaven, on the top of Mt Lemmon, is already a "zoo" in the Summer months as a
steady stream of day-trippers make their way up the mountain for a respite from the heat
of the desert floor below.

I'm not sure that anyone of the "powers that be" wants to turn up the volume.
