ride lots and don't neglect your studies. have fun!

that may not be what you were specifically looking for, but that is my best advice for a 15yr old. :)

Actually, I would say:

Grammar first, then ride, ride ride. Grammar will benefit you much more in the long run than riding.

Sounds like you are on the right track already. Go do a few races and see how it goes. Stiffer competition and "usually" double the distance = more fun!

I also hopped up; to 4 laps, and got my ass kicked last sunday (11 mins from 1st place, with 4, 5 mile laps). I took it easy most of the time, since my endurance was doubtful. I finished strong though, and when I looked at the guys I raced with, at the end, two were my age and the rest were older.

I've improved a lot over the last 8 months, following Friel and training "seriously."

Good job man, 11th out of 25 is a good result for your first race in a higher cat. Im 16 and in my first year of racing cat 1, 17 18 so ive experienced first hand the value of getting your ass handed to you a few times. As long as you like the power bar gels keep eating them, the important thing is that you are actually eating during the race.
