In August . Any singlespeeders in the area ? Would love to hook up and get the Local tour of single track.I got a trail book called "Santa Fe Area Mountain Bike Trails" Seems like a good guide but it would be nice to be shown the goods by some locals.K Peace, Tim

Get ready for some rough single speeding here - lot's of UP with the down. Sportsman is a current Loa Alamos SSer and rides here frequently - I'm happy to show you around once you get acclimated - though I prefer a full range of gears currently.... I can climb fairly well so you'd not have much to fear in the "downshift to granny and come to a near-complete standstill" lead-out.
