there were a few ladders and things in places near PB but they were tore down a few years ago....

you are about as far away as you can be from things in SD as far as mnt biking is concerned...sorry.

Im not necessarily looking for trails in PB, just in the SD area. People have to ride some where right? haha

There is also a sticky somewhere about a bikepark towards Mission Trails. If you want to get out for a quick ride, there is mileage available in penasquitos - but it is really xc.

Check La Costa too...up in Encinitas.

For a good run down of SD trails, check out mtb bill's website. Tits.
Seriously, there is A LOT of great riding... You need to go out and investigate. It's too easy to have "us" just tell you where to go. Talk to people, go to bike shops, etc. Hey I have an idea- use the search function and find out where others are riding and meet them! In other words, we shouldn't just hand it to you. It's out there, go and grab it grasshopper!
There is so much good riding around here....for starters you can go up to cowles mountain ...via Big Rock trailhead.... if you have a heavy bike it'll be a battle to get up...
but then it's just crazy switchback d/h technical mayhem that awesome to ride....
never go on weekends.....weekdays would be the only time it's not swarmed with hikers.

If you really want some EPIC riding go to Noble Canyon......(45 min east of san diego) .....make sure you go and shuttle with someone that's familiar with the trail...
the only muscle that gets sore during this ride is your mouth from grinning...
it's a masterpiece of a trail......

Ted Williams Pkwy
