Everything before the fending off an alligator attack was taken at RPR. We had a blast. The GB is really hard to find your way around, I set up a guided ride with a local check out the Austin Voodoo forum on Bike Mojo for rides to tag along with. Good luck with the move. All of this looks like great info! I really appreciate the help. My family is originally from Moab, and I'm used to that kind of riding. I know it will be different, but I can't wait to hit the dirt in Texas.

The riding is definitely different, but I think you will be surprised at the diversity. Obviously no huge climbs here, but the diversity of trails is surprisingly good. Most of the trails are around 10 mile loops give or take, but almost all are real singletrack i.e. if you make a mistake you hit a tree. DORBA is one of the largest mountain biking clubs in North America and is very active in trail building and racing. FWMBA also maintains several trails in the area, so as far as DFW you'll have plenty of options to keep you entertained. C'mon!
