I ride and race xc.

I'm considering getting a 100mm travel fork to replace my 98 z2.

I know this will slow my bike's handling, but will it become unpredictable?

Is this a bad idea, or will it be something I adjust to over a few rides? any thoughts/insights appreciated!

thanks!

I'm not sure about your specific bike, but I just went from a 80mm Judy TT to a 105mm Marzocchi MX Comp ETA on a Large GT Avalanche frame.

Works really well, very responsive. But I know the gt frame also comes in a version with a 100mm fork too, so it should be within the design spec for my frame.
