A new one to add to the quiver. I have been wanting a DJ/FR hardtail for awhile now and this deal came along that I couldn't say no to.

I am taking it out to the local park tonight to work out the bugs, but so far this thing rocks.

I have switched out the wheels and tires for track use.

The Pike coil runs all the way down to 95mm so you can use this thing for dj abuse and am/fr. Pretty versatile frame.

I should have some pics from tonight up tomorrow.

Damn...thing is beautiful bro...the Mountain Cycle Rumble is pretty much the definition of a DJ/FR hardtail...

I hope you don't mind but here's a picture of mine...come saturday a Blackspire DSX C4 will be on there...yummy....

I love my bike...but I don't know if they changed the geometry at all for 2009, but my 2007's HA feels a bit steep with a 4 inch travel fork...which is actually good for me because I have to pedal uphill a lot as well...

We used to sell MC. They still around? there was a few years there where it was anybody's guess whether they were building anything. It got to the point where l had to throw in the towel, not knowing whether l'd be able to get my hands on one.

Yep, they were undergoing an ownership transition last I heard, and I don't know if they ever really went out of business, but there was definitely a lull where the new owner(s) were getting everything sorted out...a mtbr.com member by the name of TWISTED is the MC rep for mtbr.com, it seems...he'll answer any questions you have...

If you haven't seen it yet, here's the MC Battery...I want one...but AFAIK, they're not available anywhere.

I likey.:D :D :D :D

Got some time in on it tonight at our local park. It is going to take time to get used to a hardtail again...but this thing is a blast.

A friend of mine got some better shots...so when he gets done with them I'll get them posted.

Maybe if you try removing some head set spacers? That's why the HA feels so steep?

Naw haha that picture was when I first built the bike and I didn't know where I wanted the stem so I cut the steerer relatively long. As it sits right now there's 2 1/2" spacers below the stem and 1 above...I've yet to cut the steerer tube because I'm pretty sure I'd like another spacer out, but haven't gotten around to it.

The short fork is what's causing it I know...that bike's sweet spot seems to be about 130mm travel (maybe a 510-520mm a-c?), but taking into account what I use it for, it's sweet spot for ME seems to be just how it sits.

Nice pics man! Your helmet kicks major ass too.

Bugger...I want to build another bike now...:madman:

Some more shots a friend of mine took from the other night...

I'm not trying to be a d|ck or anything, but I simply have to ask....

In that third photo where you're squatting behind the seat, that's not exactly a steep decline that you're on. More of a speed bump than anything. Were you doing that just to pose for the photo?

My guess is that preceding this picture is more shallow rollers like the one pictured, and he manualed or jumped it and hasn't got his weight back to normal yet.

Didn't look at the front suspension? The chain would also be indicative of a "hit"...

And if he were just posing for the photo...what would you say then?
