try clipless pedals
If you were regular tennis shoes, you are running platform pedals. Clipless pedals are where you actually "clip in." You have the pedal, then a cleat on the bottom of the shoe which clips into the pedal.Shad6Bones said:I wear clipless pedals (Regular old tennis shoes when I ride)...
Or is clipless pedals something else?

There's also toe clip pedals, but very few people use them for mtn biking.Shad6Bones said:Are platform pedals and clipless pedals the only 2 types of pedals?
Also, I don't see how switching to clipless pedals would be a disaster in the making? Having the bike travel with me seems like it would be a/the solution...
Thanks,

I think at least some track riders still use toe clips.Shad6Bones said:Who/what type of rider uses toe clip pedals?
What type riding do you do? What type pedals do you have?
A lot of fixie riders run toe clips.Shad6Bones said:I appreciate your guys input to this thread...

If you have a problem keeping the bike with you using platforms then if you have clipless you would have the tendency to bring the rear to high and land too heavy on the front wheel. The end result is a nice, but not so pretty face plant.Shad6Bones said:Are platform pedals and clipless pedals the only 2 types of pedals?
