We just wanted to make sure everyone knows there is still room to regsiter for the 15th annual Mountain Bike Oregon taking place July 19-21. Come ride Alpine, Heckletooth, ATCA, Lawler/Hardesty, Larison Rock, Middle Fork, Dead Mountain and the rest of the local trails.

This year's event is going to be awesome as always: free demo bikes, shuttles to some of Oregon's best trails, free beer, cider, kombucha, mini bike races, raffle, swimming holes and much more.

Don't forget MBO is an amazing way to support the communites of Oakridge & Westfir as well.

Register through the website: Mountain Bike Oregon - A 3-Day Mountain Biker's Dream Vacation!. Woo Hoo!

What brands will have demo bikes there and how many? I can ride there anytime since I live in OR but I have high interest in demoing some of the latest 29'rs; I would be PO'd if they just had a few with long lines to demo!

Thanks,

G

Hey G, good question!
This year there will be 10 bike vendors with demos - the most MBO has ever had!

The Diamondback Demo area will include:
Diamondback
Evil
Scott
Kona
Ibis
Banshee
Whyte
Fatback
Esker Cycles
Orbea
So there should be many options to try many bikes! We don't have exact numbers of bikes, but vendors are bringing their entire demo fleet to the event.

Other vends include (and there are more that are not listed here):
Light & Motion
DT Swiss
Fox Racing (Shocks)
Fox Racing (Clothing)
PNW Components dropper seats
Praxis
Pit Viper sunglasses
We Are One
Showers Pass

This is not getting into all the drink sponsors including both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. So many things different from coming to ride on your own. We hope you will join us!

In short, show up early on Thursday to get a camping spot and a bike to ride for Friday, then repeat as necessary.

More detail... Generally it’s not a line for demos like a demo day at a trailhead, because at MBO you’re doing a big morning ride and maybe some short afternoon shuttles. Typically that means picking your demo bike the afternoon before so you can ride it the next morning. It might be possible to swap for afternoon shuttles to a new demo bike when you finish your morning ride... that’s where you can sometimes find the bike you want is still out.

Greetings all!
Just wanted to make sure everyone is aware now is a great time to register for MBO if you haven't already. Showers Pass will be giving a good portion of MBO registrants a Mountain Bike Oregon Waterproof Roll-Top Backpack - 32L! It features durable tarpaulin fabric with fully welded seams, reflective trim on the sides, padded back and shoulder straps, and a carry handle at the top. At this point the next 30 participants will be included in received this bag - so hurry up!

Also, every participant will be receiving the Hydro Flask/MBO branded cooler cup that is special to this years event. And samples of Squirt Lube as well. There are also talks about more bike companies offering demos, additional companies for the beer garden at night, so things are just getting better and better!!

Hope you are joining us this year!!
