Hi all,

Three weeks ago, Lyons Colorado was host to the Lyons Outdoor Games. One of the fabulous features of this event was Mtn. Bike jumping at the brand new Lyons Bike Park in Lyons, Colorado. If you are local or visiting, it is a MUST SEE AND DO!!

I created a video from the jumps during that weekend. It has taken almost 3 weeks to edit this down to a just under 5 minute video. I have been a shooter and editor for TV for many years, and I found this to be one of the most difficult videos to shoot and edit because of the angles and action involved. I am happy with the compressed version for the internet, but you have to see this in total DVD to really appreciate how good this came out. For the purpose of bandwidth and space, I could not go DVD quality online because it would have been over 2 gigs. Instead here is the 33MB version which I am still happy with. You can view the video at:

For the purpose of viewing the video, click on the picture once or twice, depending on your browser.

PS: I would be most appreciative if anyone would email me if there are any problems viewing the video. I had no issues on my MAC but for some reason, the video was slow to load on my windows laptop. I compressed this at 1000 KB/sec, but if there was an issued with that loading/viewing, it would be on my MAC as well. All responses and feedback are greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Greg Berman

Hi all, I have decided to remove the video from the Lyons Recorder website until I can figure out why this video is not loading properly on Windows computers. I have not had problems reported from MAC users, but I have received several emails from folks who are having problems using the Windows platform. As soon as I have figured out the problem, I'll let everyone know.

If you are headed up to Lyons for the July 4th weekend, don't forget to check out the Lyons Cam (http://www.lyonsrecorder.com/cam.html) and the weather forecast (http://www.lyonsrecorder.com/weather.html). We have some big storms brewing around Lyons today so be sure and check ahead of time before hitting the trails here. Please note that I put out the only forecast that is customized just for Lyons.

Hope all of you have a wonderful July 4th weekend!

Happy Trails!

Hi there hitech,

My apologies for having to remove the video. I have never run into a problem like this when uploading videos to the web. And the fact that the video works wonderfully for MAC users and not WINDOWS users is quite perplexing. I am disappointed because of the huge amount of time it took to edit and add sound tracks. I've spent too many years in video not to be able to figure this out so hopefully I will have this resolved soon.

By the way, I would have done the same thing you did and clicked away at the first chance I got .. :)

Have a great 4th!

Happy Trails!
