Since we have to register....is this a pay to ride event? Just curious
View attachment Governor Dick Mountain Bike Night Ride.doc Yes. The $ will go towards trail projects and tools. Also, a good way to generate funds for the park by mountain bikers. The chosen date of June 3rd is in recognition of National Trails Day which is technically the 4th.

Thank you for inquiring and I hopefully look forward to meeting you. Bring friends!!

Does "all trails" mean the closed ones also :skep:
Yes, for this ride only the foot travel only trails can be ridden in addition to all the other trails. Afterwards, the foot travel only trails are to be treated as such. I asked special permission for this to happen. We would greatly appreciate a huge turnout for this event and can only hope the rains will hold off. See you there.

Great news, opening the trails one day a year was what I was thinking. Thank you guys for doing such a good job at Governor Dick :D
Unfortunately can't make it this year, going up to Potter County for STPR
I would love to see a great turn out for this event. The more the merrier. I was hopeful some "locals" would come to lead a group ride and support mountain biking at Governor Dick. The money will go to the Trail Support Committee for trail maintenance and work in a few problem areas.

Governor Dick Night Ride Report

Ideal weather and trail conditions for the Governor Dick Night Ride helped to make this event a huge success. A total of 34 mountain bikers attended and celebrated National Trails Day in the dark and supported the Governor Dick Trail Support Committee. Riders from Mount Gretna, Lititz, Lebanon, Lancaster, Cornwall, Maytown, Boiling Springs, Annville, Mount Joy, Mechanicsburg, Palmyra, Rexmont and Hummelstown came to show their support and enjoy the trails. Funds raised will go towards trail maintenance projects.

Special thanks to the Governor Dick board members for allowing this event to happen and group ride leaders Brad Doxtater and Brad Ditzler.

I wish to thank everyone who attended for making this a safe, fun and enjoyable evening.

Happy Trails,
