I have a yamaha virago and want to carry my bike with it. are there any bike racks for motorcycles other that the 2x2 cycle one?
I have been thinking about trying to build one, are there laws about stuff like this that i should be aware of before attempting it?
at this point i'm just looking for ideas and input, i'm sure i'm not the only one who has been driving to a ride wishing that they were on a motorcycle.

I have been thinking about building one. I will make it from Aluminium.

Will probably copy this with a couple of mods to fit my Dual Sport Bike.

I took a GIVI hardcase base plate (I was already using GIVI hardcases anyway)

something like this, mine was all mesh not the open spaced one here
Top Case Mounting : M5 MONOKEY PLATE KIT

and got an extra pillon seat for my bike (Aprilia Falco). I chucked the stock pillion seat and I bolted the GIVI plate to the extra pillon seat right though the pads...then I mounted a L shaped box member to the GIVI plate. on this I had front fork holder and hung the bike vertically. took some macguyvering and wish I had pics (was 8 years ago) but it worked fine.

basically it was a homemade 2x2 using a GIVI as a base. not cheap but worked

the thought of towing a bicycle like this with the motorcycle has crossed my mind more than once. are there any laws that say i can't?
