I'm about to order a new Motolite. I test rode one and absolutely loved it, but I was wondering how strong they are: I am no freerider (and nor will I ever be) but I like trying out small jumps, drops, steep technical trails, with the odd downhill course thrown in (ridden at a medium pace of course). I also have developed a taste for North Shore stuff too so I would like it to handle some of that too.

Thanks.

Check out the videos on FM's signature to see how strong the ML is.
He's constantly stretching the limits of his ML (in a good way, no stuff really out of the intended use of the bike).

From what I gather, it's pretty sturdy.

I agree with Warp (well, usually I almost always agree with him :p ) to check FM. But it's a pretty nice bike and I think you will have no problem with it. I'm 230lbs, my camelback is kinda loaded, and I've had no problems with it.

The bike handling is awesome, and I'm going to put a DHX coil on it :)

Hey rzozaya, it seems that you already made your mind for the DHX! Good choice

LOL, thanks for the props! The ML can handle it- the rear is beefy. Get a deep-insertion headset if you want to be sure. No worries on the rear for sure.

I think a beefier build really unleashes some potential as well- maybe a pike or AM SL, big tires, wide bars, moderately short stem, etc.

... speaking of which, how has the 90mm been treating you?
Haven't gotten one to try yet... thats OK....soon enough.... I have kind of been on a FR kick the last 2 weeks, mostly riding the big bike and hitting whistler, building skills- I bought a pass this year.

I'm hitting a nice local epic XC loop on thursday, looking forward to riding the motolite!

Oh yeah BTW- I have two new northshore videos up, these are from my buddies bachelor party a few weeks back, "Mt. Seymour" came out great, "Mt.Fromme" is also good. Link below if you are interested.

This MotoLite will cope with what you are after for sure. The beefyniss to stiffness to pedaling ability is nothing but sensational.................. An outstanding frame, which can build an outstanding bike.................. I am relatively new to the MotoLite, but am loving it thus far, I came off a none too shabby bike either and the ML is ensuring I grin from ear to ear during each ride, and for a long while afterwards as it happens...........:D :D :D

Don't hurt yourself. And I can't imagen how the strippers walked around whistler in those heels...
