If you want a $800 bike that can handle abuse, why not get a Haro Escape 8.3? I test rode one and it's pretty sweet.

Also cheap. Stay off ebay. If you are not sure on what bike to get, check out your local bike shop. DON'T BUY YOUR FIRST BIKE OFF EBAY. I see those pieces of sh!t on there all the time. Don't waste your money.
